Girls Trip to Utah: 4 Day Itinerary You Don't Want to Miss

If you're planning a trip to Utah with your besties there are some must see places that need to be on your list. We flew into Salt Lake City (SLC) airport and spent several days exploring the surrounding areas including Park City and Kamas.

We rented a car through Hertz and happily skipped the lines with my Gold Rewards membership-- totally worth it IMO! This is not a place where you just grab an Uber/Lyft to get around. If you truly want to explore the areas, you're going to want to have some wheels.

Day 1: Antelope Island

Antelope Island is on the south end of the Great Salt Lake. It is the largest island in the lake and is about 15 miles long. A friend suggested that we drive over there, and boy and I glad that we did. You can see bison, antelop, and other furry friends up close. It's incredible! There's a $15 entrance fee for cars-- the views- priceless.

Day 2: Horseback Riding

Kamas, UT is about a 40 min drive from Salt Lake. You will pass Park City on the way and it's a beautiful drive the whole way out there. Rhodes Valley Outfitters offers horseback riding tours where they take you on a trail up and around the hills in the area. The fresh, crisp, air and the snow covered Rocky Mountains in the distance were amazing to take in. See our full adventure in the REEL.

Day 3: Park City and Deer Valley Resort

Walking around main street and strolling the boutique is a must in Park City. We werent there to ski, so we stopped in a little gem of a restaurant, Harvest, and had the most delicious lunch. Then we spent the afternoon on the rooftop of the No Name Saloon and enjoyed great views of the city. We finished the day with dinner up on the top of the mountain at Deer Valley Resort.

Day 4: Salt Lake City

Salt Lake is a bustling, wonderful city to explore. I loved the diversity of food options. We ate lunch at Roctaco downtown, and we felt very safe walking the streets. The Natural History Museum is wonderful to see-- it's a beautifully modern building with all sorts of exhibits.

Things to Consider:

Flying in from Charleston the altitude is a bit higher than what I'm used to. Sometimes I fel a bit fatigued and everyone told me the altitude change can "get cha"! I also noticed that the skin on my hands and face felt soooo dry the entire time I was there. I carried a small hand cream in my bag and I constantly applied it throughout the trip.
