Pretty with Paper! Easy Summer Tablescape

Casual summer entertaining calls for minimal fuss. In my book that means melamine and paper plates. But-- I still want to keep it cute. I started with this lemon tablecloth that I have used for many occasions from Easter to Mother's Day. Here's a similar one. I love the pop of yellow against traditional red & blue for a July 4th meal.

Pattern mixing is my jam, and I picked up some paper plates and napkins at Aldi to add into my themed table setting. These trellis blue & white melamine dinner plates are sold out, but I found some great options that could work just as easily. I love to stack a smaller salad/dessert plate on top of my dinner plates as this gives my table settings interest. I've gathered some great options to mix and match to help you pull off a similar look.

Blue Willow dinner plates (These are ceramic, but they are dishwasher & microwave safe!)

(Below) I finished off the look with some natural starfish and other seashells and colored straws. I cut some knock-out roses and hibiscus from our backyard, and grouped them into smaller glass vases for an simple centerpiece. Easy peasy!
