Galentine's Cupcakes with my Gals

Updated: Apr 15, 2020

I look forward to February every year, and I always like to do something fun with my favorite gal pals. This year I decided to treat them to sips and sweets with a side of cupcake decorating. Meri Meri has the cutest party supplies, and we decked out both the kitchen and dining room with paper flowers, confetti, and the cutest heart pinata that I ever did see.

And-- no party is complete without balloons! These heart balloons from Anagram kept everything festive.

I ordered the cupcake boxes in bulk from Amazon and decorated them with stickers. I removed all of the dining chairs for the party so that guests could easily navigate the decorating station.

Guests noshed on small bites (see my no fuss chicken sliders below) and these hand painted sugar cookies from Fetching Fox. Kim hand paints every single cookie, yall! Each one is like a work of art. All of the metal trays and cupcake serving pieces I used are from Jayes Studio. Isn't that gold bamboo detailing just darling?! I also served the easiest Rose Lemonade, and it was a hit with my crowd. It's light and crisp and not overly alcoholic, which is perfect for a mid-week lunchtime fete. Here's my easy recipe:

Simple Rose Lemonade

1 bottle Rose of choice

1/2 liter lemonade

1/2 liter raspberry flavored lemonade

2 cups Club Soda

Mix all ingredients in a large pitcher. Serve chilled over ice with slices of fresh lemon.

No Fuss Chicken Sliders:

Chicken tenders from Publix deli

Soft potato slider or party rolls

Honey mustard sauce

Slice chicken fingers sideways and into fours. Place a small piece in each bun and serve honey mustard sauce on the side. They can be served cold or hot and are a real crowd pleaser.

While the kitchen was set up for easy nibbling, I put together a fun decorating station in the dining room where guests could grab their cupcakes and decorate to take home. With loads of sprinkles, sweet tarts, and candy hearts, my gals had the best time filling their boxes with festive treats to enjoy through the Valentine's holiday.

Now any friend that knows me knows I love to treat my gals to a fabulous goodie bag. These ladies took home some serious loot. AND-- how cute are these custom JuJu stickers on the goodie bags?? My friend, Leslie, from Giddy Paperie made these and they are just precious. I had some fun brand partners to join in on treating these ladies:

Hunter Brookes charcoal face scrub

Lisi Lerch earrings

Giddy Paperie notecards

Redland Cotton pillow cases

Surcie Co tassle earrings

TRVL Design cosmetic case

Shop Southern Cities Charleston mug

Your Happy Nest water bottle

MYLK Bar nail art

Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone!

XO, JuJu
